The Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARiMR) is planning a call for applications in 2026 under intervention I.10.6.1 – Development of cooperation within the value chain (grant) – on the farm, implemented on the basis of the CAP Strategic Plan for 2023–2027. Check the key information about the call.
Call period: 1 October – 2 November 2026
The measure supports farmers who want to start or develop the processing of agricultural products directly on their farm – in the form of agricultural retail trade (RHD), marginal, local and limited activity (MOL) or a business based on their own raw materials.
What the grant can be used for
The aid covers tangible and intangible investments related to:
- processing agricultural products produced on the applicant’s own farm,
- selling and disposing of processed agricultural products,
- producing non-agricultural products from agricultural raw materials (excluding fishery and aquaculture products),
- processing food waste and processing by-products into bio-components (e.g. biogas, bio-products).
In practice, this means that it is possible to finance, among other things, the purchase of processing machinery and equipment, the construction or adaptation of production premises, laboratory equipment, and the labelling and marking of products.
Who can apply
- Farmers and farmers’ spouses, who declare that they will set up and run an RHD activity for at least 5 years from the payment of the aid. The required economic size of the farm is at least EUR 25,000 – unless the applicant is a beneficiary of the “Young Farmers’ Bonuses” intervention.
- Farmers, household members and farmers’ spouses, who start a business or MOL activity in the field of processing agricultural products.
- Micro-entrepreneurs, who carry out processing and use at least 50% of raw materials from their own farm for production. A commitment to run the business for at least 5 years from the payment of the aid is required.
How much funding is available
The amount of aid depends on the applicant’s status and the form of activity:
- For those starting RHD or a business/MOL activity — aid in the form of a lump sum at one of three rates: PLN 30,000, PLN 60,000 or PLN 120,000. The maximum aid intensity is 65% of the costs of the operation.
- For micro-entrepreneurs continuing their business — reimbursement of up to PLN 500,000 per beneficiary over the programme period. Aid intensity: up to 50% of eligible costs.
The minimum amount of aid in both cases is PLN 10,000.
Selection criteria – what points are awarded for
The assessment of applications is based on a points system. Operations meeting the following criteria will receive higher scores:
- Contribution to the objectives of the “Farm to Fork” Strategy — in particular, projects involving sustainable processing methods, the circular economy, reducing food loss and waste, and producing organic products or products certified under the integrated plant production system.
- Processing of waste and by-products — operations in which the investment involves processing food waste or by-products into bio-components (biogas, bio-products).
- Environmental component — preference for projects in which at least 20% of eligible costs relate to investments in environmental protection.
- Innovation — preference for projects in which at least 50% of eligible costs relate to investments of an innovative nature.
In addition, social preferences are provided for farmers starting processing:
- compulsory full KRUS (Agricultural Social Insurance Fund) insurance by operation of law,
- applicant aged up to 40,
- female applicant,
- location of the farm in an area facing natural constraints (ONW) of the mountain type or ONW of the specific type, zone II (at least 50% of agricultural land above 350 m above sea level).
How to prepare for the call
Given the programme’s limited budget and the competitive nature of the call, it is worth starting preparations well in advance. The key elements of the application documentation are:
- business plan with a financial forecast for the operation,
- technical documentation of the planned investment (cost estimates, designs, permits),
- quotations from suppliers confirming eligible costs,
- documents confirming that the eligibility criteria relating to the applicant are met (KRUS certificate, entry in the register, economic size of the farm).
